My Furniture Needs Help

Since Casey and I got married 6 1/2 years ago, we have been handed down a lot of furniture. Some of it we still have, others we have sent to new families. I am trying to spruce up my home (which is a beast in itself) in a VERY cheap way. There are a lot of things that need to be done, but i am just not that talented or creative in that way. I am going to post some pics of the items all of which have been hand me downs, that need the most done to them. Give me your thoughts and your ideas, and I will see what I can do to make these pieces alive again. I want something different, I don't want to be normal, but I also still want to be married :) Come people, I know I have some very creative people out there that read my blog...speak up, let me hear you!

This is the dining room table, it is in BAD shape, I would show you the whole table but there is stuff on the other end. I need it to be pretty again so I don't try to hide it all the time with junk! AHH that's a good one "Honey, I am just trying to "hide" the table with all this junk so it doesn't feel so inadequate, I am sparing it's feelings" I think I will try that one.

This is a chair that I love to look at. It's terrible to sit in but it's nice to have around. I put that baby pillow there, since it matched my walls...I made it when i was like 5 or 6.
And then there is this thing. Don't judge me for the water rings...when you can clearly see the coasters on the table too. Maybe I will just tell you that the rings were there before the coasters. This thing is just really a place to put the fish "B" and the lamp, and hold a few magazines that we never re-read.

So there you have it. LAY IT ON ME! I am ready and willing to get this house prettified! Thanks in advance!

That's right 74 more days till our vacation to Anna Maria Island. The Gray's, The Ruhman's and us are super excited to go relax, sun bathe, and play. I am ready for it to be May already. This will be mine and Casey's first time to fly on a plane together. We have really never been anywhere that was further than an 8 hour drive from home. This should be a great experience.
Click here for our duplex. We plan on taking a boat tour to Egmont Key, looking for dolphins, sea shells and touring some ruins.

Once we figure out exactly what we are doing I will post some more pics!

Update to Dr. Visit

This is an update to this. I got my test results today in the mail. They came back ALL normal. Which in a way is awesome...thank you Jesus, but then it's really crappy. Did I just use the words Jesus and crappy in the same sentence??? My bad! Anyway, what this means now...i don't know. My Dr. said he was sending my results to my OB to review, may he'll find something or suggest something.

Another thing...I am starting to have those same symptoms that I was having last month, and frankly I am trying to not pay much attention to them, but not totally ignore them either.

Just keep praying that God will reveal his plan soon. Thanks to everyone who was concerned about me, you all mean a lot!

Tubes

I know, I know...2 posts in 1 day, well I am home and I have the time so thought I might go ahead and do this! If you are lucky there may be more post today.

So the point of this post was to let you all know that Briley got tubes today. We had to be at the Surgery Center of Oklahoma this morning at 6:30. She did great, it took them a while to get to her but that was ok, at least we had time to play and talk to her about what was going on. The nurses were awesome and they really seem to enjoy their jobs.This pic is on our way to the hospital. She is NOT a morning person but she was doing fine with her fingers and blankie.

This was where we were waiting to go back and get started, she loved all the mats and toys. When we were leaving she got mad b/c she wanted to go play in the kids room.

She found the hair net thing, and put in on and all the nurses kept laughing when they would walk by. My little HAM!
She decided she needed to go ahead and get ready for the nurses to take her back so she climbed up in her bed, put the fingers in and started feeling her hair net...I guess it was soft. Then they came to get her and wheeled her off.

I forgot to take an after pic, but she was so cute all sleepy and limp, it felt good to hold her like that. I really hope these tubes work and that we don't have to do this again, even though it was a good experience it's just not so cheap!

Dr. Visit

So I have been sick off and on for a couple weeks now, and Sunday it got really bad.

I had already had a Dr. appt set for other stuff and now I needed to add this. I went today, and he told me that I have a SEVERE sinus infection. I've never heard a Dr. of mine say SEVERE...I wonder what happens after a sinus infection becomes severe...what if I didn't go to the Dr. to get it checked out. Anyone know?

Anyway, I originally went to get some blood work done to see just why I can't get pregnant, he ordered them to test my kidneys, blood sugar, metabolism, thyroid, and I think like 2 more things. I should the results back either later this week or next week, I really hope this tells us something!

But the even better news was, when the nurse was in taking my vitals I asked her if my weight was up or down from last time....took her a minute to find it, I thought she was having to add a lot of numbers, She told me my weight from Sept of 08 was *** and I said "what the crap"...(seriously I said that) "are you kidding me?" Nurse "NO", ya well I guess in September I was pretty heavy, b/c to date I have lost 21 pounds...so who's laughing now? I don't know why I said that...no one has ever laughed at me for my weight, maybe it was a question for satan.

I have only been tracking my weight since I think Nov., and I have lost only 9 lbs since then so YEA for me! 21 sounds so much better though!
