My Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... I see a beautiful sunny day!

I am thinking...I have a ton of housework to do. My cleaning schedule got messed up with Casey being gone  and with Briggs being sick...now I am just playing catch-up.

I am thankful for...My parents pool. It felt so good to go swimming yesterday and to spend time with them. Now if only I could figure out which sunscreen would work best for me. I've tried 30, 50, 60, and nothing works. My mom bought some 100 spf so I will try that next time. I am also thankful for a new opportunity to make some extra money for my family and we are going to have a great time doing it.

From the learning room...I am switching curriculum from My Father's World to KONOS. I think it will be much more challenging for Briley. I can't wait to get started.

From the kitchen...We are running low on groceries and I don't want to go to the store till we get back from our trip in 2 weeks. I think with just buying some staple items I can get pretty creative with what we have left in our pantry and freezer. Let's see if I can actually do it.

Monday-  Oatmeal and Cinnamon Toast
Tuesday- Spaghetti
Wednesday- Out with Casey
Thursday- Hot Dogs
Friday-  Pizza Night
Saturday- Hamburger Helper
Sunday- Pork Loin

I am wearing...Black pants and Grey and Navy striped tank...yep I don't match...laundry is in the washer now :)

I am creating...a piece of "artwork" for my Entry way. I should have had this done last week, but Casey took my paper cutter to work. Now I have it back. I am also working on a cover for my Entryway "table", finishing some appliqués for Briley, a table cloth and a valance for my back door. LOT'S going on...let's see how much I can get done this week.

I am going...
Monday- To the bank and to drop of curriculum to Patty
Tuesday- Voting, Volunteering at Lifechurch.tv and then Parenting Q and A
Wednesday- Visiting my friends at The City of Edmond, Dinner date and then Lifegroup
Thursday- Bible study at Patty's
Friday- Nowhere
Saturday-Birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and then hitting some Krazy Daze sales in Edmond
Sunday-Church and then maybe my parents house.

I am reading... Every Now and Then by Karen Kingsbury

I am hoping...I can get Briggs back on his sleeping schedule. He's been waking up at 3:30 or 4:30 am and playing in his crib. Not fun!

I am hearing...Briley playing with blocks in her room and my washing machine.

Around the house...trying to finish up projects so my house looks some what put together for Bunco in September...

One of my favorite things...watching Briggs climb all over Briley. He loves her so much and she just laughs while he does it.

Pictures for the week

I am  blessed with amazing children and I thank God for them everyday!
Have a great week!

Coop does the same exact thing: wake up sometime around 3-5 am to play. He usually is cracking himself up about something. Doesn't bother though, because he will only play about 30 minutes. I don't have a monitor because he's next door, but if yours is on just turn it off. I wouldn't worry about it. Chloe used to do the same thing.
