Conversation with my Son

It's amazing what you can hear when you just listen. Doesn't that go with our relationship with Christ too? If only I would listen to Him as much as I demand Briley to listen to me. I was talking to Briggs today and our conversation went a little like this. I have translated his goos, razzs, and squeals to English

M: Briggs, can you say Hi Momma?
B: Hi Momma

M: Awe, honey you are too sweet.
B: Thanks momma, you are my favorite

M: I am so lucky to be your momma
B: God told me he picked you just for me

M: You are so cute
B: You are more beautiful than words can say

M: What do you want to be when you grow up?
B: A daddy, I have the best to learn from.

M: Just so you know, I pray for your future Wife all the time
B: Since I can't marry you, thank you for praying for her.

M: I can't wait to see you grow up and become the man God wants you to be.
B: Thank you for leading by example how we are to be followers of Christ.

M: Briggs, I love you more than you will ever understand
B: Momma, you will always be my number one girl

M: When you get a little bit bigger will you play nice with your sister?
B: She will be my best friend.

B: Momma, why are you crying?
M: I am crying because I am incredibly happy, God has blessed us so much and we prayed for you for so long.

B: I hope I can continue to be a blessing to you forever.
M: You have no idea how much you have already blessed us.

M: Oh, honey why are you crying?
B: because I pooped in my diaper.

You know I can't be serious all the time!

Today Briggs and I were just talking to each other and I wondered what he really was thinking. His facial expressions were just to much for my heart to handle, he made me tear up and I knew I needed to thank God right then for this special little boy...my son!
