Names

*Update* Some have asked to see the meanings of the names I have on this list. So you will find the below. Thanks for giving me your opinions, they are really helping!!!
Needing some input from my super blog readers…and comment leavers. In 6 weeks we find out what we are having, either a boy or a girl… you knew that right? I have ALWAYS had my baby names picked out way before I even had babies. Like for Briley, I knew in college I was going to name my first girl that. When we did get pregnant with her Casey and I struggled to agree on a boy name…to this day I don’t know that we ever did come up with one just in case. Luckily we didn’t have to and I got my Briley. So now with this date rapidly approaching Casey and I are at a crossroads again. We thought we had a boy named picked out, since Briley and Casey have convinced me it’s a boy…I wanted to get one nailed down. We have the girl name, Finley. Like it??? Well don’t steal it b/c I plan on having more kids and maybe use it if this one is a girl J

So I need your help. I am going to list names that I like for boy names and I want you,(all of you, even the ones that don’t normally comment, please do this time…for me) to tell me your likes and dislikes. Now you should know that we use last names as first names for our kids. When you are sounding out the names, make sure you put it with our last name Moore, b/c if it doesn’t flow well…I need to know. Now some of you know the boy name that we had picked out, but I am having second thoughts. I will not tell you which one it is, just in case you all like it. I still like it; I just don’t have the gushy feeling about it. So are you all in? Great. Thanks!

Briggs means Bridge
Fisher means One who fishes
Baylor N/A
Syler N/A
Baker means A Baker
Davis means Beloved
Bishop means Overseer
Wilson means Son of William
Brewer means Brewer of Beer
Griffin means Reddish

Ok, now chime in. If you want you can also tell me why you don’t like it.

Needing Some Prayers

Everything is fine with the baby, so don’t worry about that. The Moore life is about to make a drastic change. When I say drastic I mean life altering.

Casey put in his 2 weeks notice today at work. He’s been looking for a new job for a while now, but nothing has come of any of them. God’s been working in him. His work life has not been the best, I know people have struggles at work and work through them, but Casey has said enough is enough. I couldn’t be more proud of him for taking this leap of faith and listening God. He does not have anything lined up at this moment, but there are some opportunities that have been talked about and I will let you know those when I can.

It’s a little scary thinking that in 2 weeks he will be jobless….by choice. I on the other hand have been blessed with a wonderful job and just got a raise too J God always provides. I am having a hard time giving God control though. I think this change is fun, and exciting but I can’t help thinking about providing for Briley and the baby!

I know some of this doesn’t make sense…it really doesn’t make sense to me either so I know how you feel. I just ask that you pray for us, we are going down to a one person income and I am not the one that made the most money. I know we will be fine, I just need to remember that God will always provide! Please help me not to focus on the lack of money coming part but on the look what God is doing in our lives part. I really don’t know what kind of specific prayers we need, I am sure some of you do…so just do them! Thanks ya’ll you are the best people ever!

Birthday Present

My mom couldn't think of anything to get me for my 30th...she really didn't need to but you know how mom's are.

She decided to take Briley to get her picture taken professionally. I couldn't be happier that she did that. It ranks right up there with my Florida Vacation. I got prints of most of the pics and the lady made this DVD for me. So um ya, I cried...just a bit. I love this so much, and I couldn't wait to share it with you. Enjoy!

New Find

I found this site off of a Hungry Girl email...there are things about cooking and shelf life that I had no idea about. I thought I would share it with you all http://www.stilltasty.com/ Tell me if you learned something new.
Things I learned:
NEVER thaw food in hot water-mmm, it's a wonder we've never gotten sick b/c I do this all the time.
You CAN freeze raw asparagus.
I knew that spices expired but I just didn't know how long they lasted...1-3 years. Yep, I've had mine for 7 years, and who knows how long they were on the shelf just waiting for us to buy them.
That's it. Tell me what you learned from the site!
P.S. oh ya, today is my last day to be in my twenties!
